Lowenthal is a Davis-based real estate law practice serving clients throughout Yolo, Solano, and Sacramento Counties. We represent buyers, sellers, property owners, investors, and real estate professionals in transactions, contracts, disputes, and other matters involving California real property.
Our practice is particularly focused on the problems and transactions where experienced real estate counsel can make a meaningful difference. We regularly handle seller nondisclosure, misrepresentation, and concealment claims; partition and co-ownership matters; real estate purchase and sale transactions; and the preparation, review, and negotiation of real estate contracts. Some clients come to us when a deal is taking shape. Others come to us after a transaction has gone wrong. We are comfortable on both sides of that line.
Our approach is practical and modern. We use established C.A.R. and A.I.R. CRE forms when they are the right tools for the transaction, and custom-draft agreements when they are not. We offer traditional representation where a matter requires it, along with a growing menu of flat-fee legal services for transactions and document projects that can be clearly defined in advance.
Our work also extends into construction and selected business matters that naturally intersect with real estate, including contracts, entity formation, ownership agreements, and other transactional work. These areas complement our real estate practice rather than define it.

Fees
Because our matters often involve complex facts, significant assets, and evolving legal issues, representation is typically provided on an hourly basis.
However, in select matters, alternative or flat-fee arrangements may be considered where the scope of work can be clearly defined in advance. Contingent (percentage) fee, deferred fees, and payment plans are available for qualifying cases.
