At Lowenthal, our practice is built around one core focus: California real estate. We advise and represent clients across the full lifecycle of property ownership, from structuring and closing transactions to resolving disputes when things do not go as planned. The practice is led by Attorney Justin Lowenthal, who has been immersed in the real estate world since 2010 as an owner, investor, broker, Realtor®, and lawyer. That combination of hands-on experience and legal training shapes how we approach both deals and disputes.
Over the years, Justin has been involved in seemingly countless successful closings in his capacity as a real estate broker through Lowenthal Realty Co., and through Lowenthal APC he has represented clients as legal counsel in a wide range of real estate transactions and disputes. Our legal practice regularly works in transactions, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, and we are comfortable in each of those arenas. Some matters are best solved at the deal table, some across a conference room in mediation, and others in court. We approach all of them with the same mindset: practical problem-solving, careful risk analysis, and a focus on outcomes that make sense not only legally, but economically.

For that reason, we are flexible in how we structure compensation and work to align our fee arrangements with our clients’ goals and cash flow realities. In addition to traditional hourly billing, we regularly offer alternative fee arrangements, including flat fees, phased or task-based pricing, payment plans, deferred fees, and, where appropriate, contingent or success-based components.
